Magnolia takes 'Waltz' for just about any swing
'Take This Waltz'Magnolia Pictures has acquired U.S. rights to Sarah Polley's "Take This Waltz," which opened up lately within the Toronto Intl. Film Festival. Magnolia mentioned it'll release "Waltz," which Polley has written, directed and produced, noisy . summer season. Michelle Williams, Seth Rogen, Luke Kirby and Sarah Silverman star in "Waltz," focusing on the youthful lady -- referred to by Williams -- fighting to select from a husband they loves and also the other guy they has fallen passionately deeply deeply in love with. Magnolia introduced the sale Monday with TF1 Worldwide. It expects release a the pic theatrically in many major U.S. areas, undertaking a "prominent" film festival presence in regional fests. Magnolia may even release "Waltz" through its Ultra VOD program. "Waltz" might be the fourth TIFF title acquired by Magnolia. Furthermore, it acquired US rights to backwoods drama "The Hunter" and Michael Dowse's hockey comedy "Goon" along with worldwide rights to Bobcat Goldthwait's "God Bless America" due to its genre arm, Magnet.
