Stephen King's 'The Dark Tower' Headed to Cinemax?
Is Mike Mendes turning 'Bond 23' into an Oscar-friendly actor's showcase? The director of 'American Beauty' is apparently reducing the franchise's signature stunts and action moments to pay attention to "characterful performances" from leading guy Difficulties. Since "characterful" is not a word, we are going to accept rumor having a large touch of suspicion. Associates are taking a chance that Craig added more "emotional depth" since he'll be rising against Oscar-winning actor Javier Bardem as his foe. Sources the "action moments in India have been axed," but that other action sequences in Istanbul and Duntrune Castle in Argyll "remain for now.Inch While so the India action moments aren't any more, that's because of the possible lack of cooperation through the Indian government, who wouldn't let Mendes film an amazing train wreck there. The director apparently made the decision to maneuver the train sequence to Nigeria because the Indian government wouldn't (ahem) jump in with harmful roof-top stunts. Mendes is familar using the Academy awards: he won Best Director honors for his focus on 'American Beauty' in 1999.
